Sovereignty

Posted June 24th, 2012 by MF

The name gives draw bridge and lock operators a hard time. It’s pretty uncommon, tough to spell, and its meaning isn’t widely understood. I’m doing my best to change that.

Sovereignty is freedom. It means you have no rulers. It means making your own decisions, and being responsible for their consequences. Having complete control over your actions. Not being a slave.

It’s not generally a word applied to individuals. Most of us have rulers. Most of us don’t make our own decisions. Most of us are slaves. When people use the word, they’re generally referring to sovereign states. Countries that completely control a territory, with ultimate authority over their subjects. Or popular sovereignty, the principle that “Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed”.

Individual sovereignty is rare. Most of us consent to government. Most of us accept our chains, even grow to love them. I’m doing my best to change that, too.

    Four Jacks And A Jill

    Master Jack lyrics

    Songwriters: MARKS/LONDIS

It’s a strange, strange world we live
    in, Uncle Sam

You taught me all I know and I’ll never look back

It’s a very strange world and I thank you, Uncle Sam

You took a colored ribbon from out of the sky

And taught me how to use it as the years went by

To tie up all your problems and make them look neat

And then to sell them to the people in the street

It’s a strange, strange world we live in, Uncle Sam

You taught me all I know and I’ll never look back

It’s a very strange world and I thank you, Uncle Sam

I saw right through the way you started teachin’ me now

So some day soon you could get to use me somehow

I thank you very much and though you’ve been very kind

But I’d better move along before you change my mind

It’s a strange, strange world we live in, Uncle Sam

You know how I feel as if I’ll never come back

It’s a very strange world and I thank you, Uncle Sam

You taught me all the things the way you’d like them to be

But I’d like to see if other people agree

It’s all very int’resting the way you disguise

But I’d like to see the world through my own eyes

It’s a strange, strange world we live in, Uncle Sam

No hard feelin’s if I never come back

You’re a very strange man and I thank you, Uncle Sam

You’re a very strange man and I thank you, Uncle Sam

You’re a very strange man and I thank you, Uncle Sam

They say of chains they don’t hurt unless you try to move.

Congratulations on your new life; I have had my realizations about two years ago, and am currently preparing for my new life NOT in the USSA. It’s time to go for sure. Thank you for your letter “Why I’m Leaving America” — it hits at the very heart and soul of all of us IF we will read it and choose to connect with it. I fear for the folks still in denial/refusing to be awake… but, I will take my own journey as you have. God Bless You :)
